NAS Sync doesn't collect your files, track you or show ads. Here is everything that leaves your Mac, and why.

Your files

NAS Sync copies files only between your Mac, your NAS and the drives you choose. Your files are never sent to us or to anyone else. Your NAS password is stored by macOS in your Keychain; NAS Sync never sees it.

What the app sends

WhenWhat is sentTo
You activate a license key, and about once a day after thatYour license key and your Mac's name (so you can see your activations)Lemon Squeezy, which issues and checks license keys

You turn on text alertsAlert messages, sent through the Messages appApple, as with any iMessage

That's all. NAS Sync has no analytics, crash reporting or tracking, and no account to sign up for.

Support emails and diagnostics

If you email us, we use your message and address only to help you. A diagnostics file from the app contains your NAS Sync settings and recent logs, which can include folder names and your NAS address. It's only shared if you attach it to an email.

Purchases

Lemon Squeezy is our reseller and merchant of record. When you buy, they collect your name, email address, billing country and payment details, and handle tax. We receive your name, email address and order details so we can support your license. Lemon Squeezy's own privacy policy covers how they handle your data.

This website

This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or tracking. Fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address as part of serving them. Our web host keeps standard server logs, such as IP address and pages visited, for security.

Your choices

To see or delete what we hold about you (your support emails, and the name and email on your order), email support@nas-sync.com. Uninstalling NAS Sync removes its settings and logs from your Mac.

Changes
