The terms for buying NAS Sync, followed by the license agreement you accept when you install it.

Terms of sale

  • Seller. NAS Sync is sold through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as our reseller and merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy's terms of sale apply to the payment.
  • What you buy. A one-time license key for NAS Sync, for one person's own Macs. Prices are shown before checkout; tax is added where it applies.
  • Trial. NAS Sync works free for 14 days on each Mac. After that, it needs a license key to keep mounting and syncing.
  • Activation. Activating a key needs an internet connection once per Mac. The app re-checks the key from time to time when online.
  • All sales are final. Purchases are non-refundable. Please use the 14-day free trial to make sure NAS Sync works with your NAS and your Macs before you buy. This doesn't limit any rights you have under the law where you live.
  • Support. Email support@nas-sync.com.

Copyright © 2026 Mark Stewart and Talia Raine Stewart. NAS Sync, NAS Sync Setup, NAS Sync Agent, the NAS Sync widgets, Uninstall NAS Sync and the NAS Sync Status plugin for Obsidian (together, "the Software") are licensed, not sold.

1. License

You may install and use the Software on Mac computers that you own or control, for your own personal or internal business use. You may use the Software free for a 14-day trial. After the trial, using it requires a paid license key. A license key is for one person's own Macs; don't share it.

2. Restrictions

Except as this agreement or applicable law expressly allows, you may not:

  1. copy the Software, except to install it as allowed above and to keep one backup copy;
  2. modify, translate, or create derivative works of the Software;
  3. reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise try to derive the source code of the Software;
  4. sell, rent, lease, lend, sublicense, publish, or redistribute the Software;
  5. get around, disable or tamper with the trial or the license checks; or
  6. remove or change any copyright notice or this agreement.

3. Third-party software

The Software includes Unison, a separate program distributed under the GNU General Public License version 3. Unison is not covered by this agreement: its license is in licenses/Unison-LICENSE.txt and its source code is at github.com/bcpierce00/unison. Nothing in this agreement limits your rights under that license.

4. Your data

The Software copies, moves and syncs files that you choose. Keep backups of important data. The Software's safety check, version history and Trash-based removals reduce, but cannot rule out, data loss.

5. No warranty

The Software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

6. Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, the authors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from the use of or inability to use the Software.

7. Ownership

The authors keep all rights, title and interest in the Software, including all copyrights. Any rights not expressly granted here are reserved.

8. Termination

This license ends automatically if you break its terms. You must then remove the Software (Uninstall NAS Sync removes it).
